School Calendar for 2024/2025
School re-opens Monday, 9 September 2024 & ends with our recital Sunday, 8 June 2025.
Many of our students enjoy dancing for recreation, while others aim at competition. We respect both purposes. We have
students who compete at the highest level and many who love to perform.
Youth: Our youngest students (born 2019 or later) start with Tír-Na-Nóg, or the “Land of Youth.” Following completion of
one year of instruction, Tír-Na-Nóg students progress to “Beginner” classes, which are appropriate for all new students aged
6 years and older. After completing one year of instruction at the Beginner level, all students progress to the “Advanced
Beginner” level. All other students remain at the same level of instruction for at least two years before upgrading to the
next. Competitive dancers upgrade with Mrs. James’ advice.
Adults: Our Wednesday classes are suitable for adults (ages 18 & up) from new beginners to dancers with years of
experience. Advanced adult dancers may also join the Teen-Adult Open/Advanced class on Monday and/or the Thursday classes
for competition dancers with Mrs. James’ advice.
